Sunday we will honor our high school graduates.

Using Scripture as our foundation,  I will give an example of principles lived out in the life of a famous American.

Everyone is invited, of course!

Pursuing Personal Peace IV

In our last lesson in the series, Pursuing Personal Peace, our focus will be on verses 8-11.

The psalm goes from David speaking to Yahweh teaching. God assures David of a future when He says He will be personally involved in teaching the king how to live in forgiveness.

The main principle I have gleaned from this study is this: God must be the One to right our wrongs!

His path: acknowledgment of sin brings forgiveness which ushers in peace.

David was back to “blessed.” His journey, as outlined in this great psalm, can serve as template for us as we seek peace.

Pursuing Personal Peace III

In our third installment of Pursuing Personal Peace, the idea of security is given as a piece of the happiness puzzle.

David’s sin caused him to run from God, and when he came to his senses, he learned to run to God.

The believer must learn the value of hiding in God and not from Him.

The turnaround involved turning his pain into change. If our pain leads to change the end result will be peace or happiness.

The Value of Scripture

Leon Willis will be speaking this Sunday, sharing his study on "The Value of Scripture" while focusing on 2 Timothy 3:14-17.

Come join us.
