Habakkuk is an interesting book.

Unlike all other prophets, Habakkuk doesn’t speak to the people on behalf of Yahweh; he speaks on behalf of the people to Yahweh.

It is quite a dialogue, quite a struggle the people and the prophet have troubling times.

Habakkuk is about when everything that is security for us in life is taken away, what’s left.

The answer: GOD!

Times can be hard on faith.

Habakkuk is about being real with God in our struggles.

Habakkuk reminds us that we don’t need theology to talk to God; honesty works!

We begin 2010 finishing up our Tapping Into Wisdom class study series.

The New Year is a new section of the path we are traveling as we move closer to “home.”

We will review the top news stories in 2009, and a valuable principle we can learn from the lives of others.

Then, we will take a glance at Proverbs 4 and take note of principles to guide us as we step into the unknown.

My message is entitled, Growth is A Journey.

It really is!

Eight centuries before Christ came, a crisis was brewing in Israel.

Bad political deals and terrible personal choices brought a heavy darkness over Israel.

Yahweh allowed a time of suffering to correct His people. In the darkest hour, He sent a message through the prophet Isaiah that would give people hope regarding the future of their country.

The prophet probably had no idea what the promise of Isaiah 9 looked like in real life, but he knew the faithfulness of the One who sent him.

This Sunday, "The Message & Meaning Of Christmas.” Matthew 13:16-17 says we have an advantage the prophets of old didn’t have.

We know how the story unfolded. Let’s be amazed again at the Message and Meaning!

It is frustrating to forget where you laid something important –like your car keys or the list you meant to take shopping with you.

Frustration, however, turns to tragedy if we forget key spiritual principles.

There are just some things we dare not forget in our battle for spiritual maturity.It is amazing how many times the Holy Spirit uses the words remember.

Our second installment of II Peter is entitled, Spirituality For Amnesiacs. Peter was searching for a way to help hurting brethren remember.

Loran Brown encouraged me to consider studying and teaching on II Peter following I Peter. 

I took his advice.  Fabulous book!  

We will begin a new study series, Supplements For Sanctification this coming Sunday.  

We will unpack what the Spirit says about the enemies of truth, trenches to avoid in search of truth, and the role of sound doctrine in our development.
